Newcastle 9/2 to smash their Championship points record
NEWCASTLE UNITED might be on the way to smashing their record of 102 points in the Championship, according to Ladbrokes.
Following last night’s 6-0 demolition of QPR at Loftus Road, it’s now just 9/2 for the Magpies to reach the 103-point mark this season.
And Rafa Benitez’s high-scoring team are likewise just 7/2 to net over 100 goals throughout the campaign, with 9/2 for them to notch up another 6-0 victory along the way.
Optimistic Newcastle fans can back the side to finish in the Premier League’s leading six next season at 33/1, while enormous odds of 1000/1 says the Geordies win every remaining Championship game this season.
Ladbrokes News’ Dave Burin stated: “Newcastle’s 6-0 hiding of QPR might be the result that propels them to smash their old points record and offer the bookmakers a slamming of their own.”
