Bookmakers still positive Pep can turn things around at City
LADBROKES still reckon Man City manager Pep Guardiola can turn things around at the Etihad, regardless of suffering his most significant ever league defeat as a supervisor at the weekend.
While pressure is starting to grow on the previous Barcelona employer, chances of 1/3 recommend he’s still greatly fancied to stay in charge on the opening day of next season.
And although his side are 10 points off league leaders Chelsea and from the EFL Cup, it’s simply 9/4 he wins a prize this year.
On the other hand, the bookmakers make it a substantial 16/1 shot that Pep reveals his retirement at the end of the season.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes News stated: “While it might be stylish to stick the boot into Man City, the chances on Pep succeeding in the long-run are still quite in his favour.”
